I have/had a blog called thelazycoder.com. The goal was a public place to posts blocks of code that I wrote and never wanted to write again. I decided since I am not in the habit of writing blog entries (no, really, look at how ofter I update this blog) that I would take down my other blog and just move the code pieces I liked over to here so I can combine the two. So, by the end of the week I should have deleted the blog and moved the code over here.

I often heard myself say to prospective employers, and other people, that I enjoy fixing projects and code. That I found some sick joy in the analytical challenge of figuring out why things aren't working so I can make them right.

Ok, I lied.

I am a lover of applications that run smoothly each and every day. I love when projects just work the first time and everytime.

There are many reasons I am proud of my wife (disclaimer) but I have to say that I am most recently proud of her photography. Even though photography was something I have never been able to wrap my head around, she seems to be getting it pretty good. About a month ago we managed to get her a Nikon D70 and a 18-75mm wide angle lens and she's been just snapping pictures away. I think for being pretty new at it, she's doing an awesome job.

The wife and I decided last Sunday to take Gabe to the beach for a little photo taking session. Siobhan wanted to get some pictures of the sun setting and I thought the beach would be a nice place to get some shots in. We bundled Gabe up in a sweater and pants and headed out to Stoney Creek.

Siobhan thought it would be cool to get some pictures of Gabe on the beach sand, so we trotted down to the beach and cleared off a spot. Wow, he loved it. I know he's never seen / felt the sand before, but he was having a blast!
